Did my errands on my bike today. Love whipping around town on my new-to-me townie. She's a cramerotti. I think I've named her Stella 'cause she's Italian. I had a bone density test this morning. Hoping it's all right and despite the diary allergy, small bones, birth control my bones are strong. Then I ate a raspberry white chocolate scone while I went through a month of mail.

I met up with a friend for a later evening swim. I've stopped going to Crystal Pool, too chlorine'y and lot's of perfume. You know how it floats on top of the water, when you take a breath and you breath in Channel #5 or somethin'

I've been swimming a few times recently and I can feel the fitness s-l-o-w-l-y coming back. It's like a sleepy bear just out of hibernation. A little woozy, docile and HUNGRY!

I've been reading Ben GreenFields Blog recently. Great solid down to earth coach. Really great advice. While I'm still stuck in the injury penelty box and unsure if I will be able to run strong again, he poses a interesting question. Why do you do Triathlon? We all say it's for the stress release, for the drive, the passion but if you look closer why?

I can say honestly that there were many times last year it became about pride, and envy and about forcing myself to work on training instead of taking a step back and seeing an unbalanced life. I was really running(swimming and biking) away from myself last year. I don't know if I'll ever race tri's again but I can say honestly that if there is a next time I'll be an all around healthier person.

21. Why did you start your blog?

Maybe move out west sooner? I feel like i spent more time in Calgary then I should have but I clearly wasn't ready to move yet. So nothing. I think life will always present options and just as long as you're moving forward things are good.

What next?

Alright, with school on a 2 week break and my iron levels back to normal I find myself with some free time and a bundle of energy. My remedy to trying to figure out how to burn it is to take on any other sport that dosen't hurt!

So I've been getting into rock climbing. So much fun! I didn't realize how strong and powerful I'd feel after. I went for 2 hours last night and LOVED it. It's all about using your weight and brain. It's like playing chess.

Ans today I'm going surfing. Apparently Surf's up and we're headed out to Jordan River for the day! I'll post pics later.

So any suggestion on what to tackle next?

on B12 deficiency and Finals

I've got two papers to write and a final exam and then I'm finished for this term. halle-freakin-ujah

This term raked me over the coals. With a holiday break in the middle I never really got my focus back. Two crazy colds and a general feeling of fatigue have left me exhausted. Unable to focus on much of anything, struggling to wake up (really at all) and being Cranky (yeah that's with a capital C) I've been frustrated as all heck. It felt like every time I got the energy to do anything I would get sick again. Tonight I think I might have figured out something to change my life. I was mentioning to a co-worker that I really want to bike to school in the mornings and make a joke about hitting the snooze button too many times. She offhandedly mentions a iron deficiency. A little Dr. Google later and WHAM! I think I may have it sorted. This might be my ticket to feeling better.
